It's Friday, let's talk Bball Recruiting

With the 2012 class starting to wrap up there has been mention of a couple big men options left for the Terps; Charles Mitchell, Phillip Nolan and William Howard. I know about Mitchell and he is pretty much an academic question mark and seems not to want anyone to know what he is thinking about recruiting. Nolan is a late recruit who we are in the mix for and need to see more on this guy to make me believe he is a realistic target. Also, I have never heard of William Howard before J. Bradshaw mentioned him in his post. Who is this guy and what are the legit chances we land him? Or do we want to land him?

After looking at the last couple of the ESPN100 for 2012 uncommitted recruits, it made me wonder what is the deal with some of them, especially the ones that Maryland has been mentioned with?

Amile Jefferson, the highest rated recruit that has Maryland involved with in 2012. I know he took an official Labor Day weekend, but has been listing schools and seems to continually leave MD out. Also there has been heavy expectations that he will go to NC State. What is the deal with his status and any new word?

Torian Graham, this guy is a mystery. A decommit from NC State and has been to a dozen or so high schools, jk but he has been too many HS. Everyone seemed to believe he was committing to Maryland even some experts were predicting a commit. Many have speculated that grades are in question, what is the true deal with Graham. Is he Maryland bound or not?

Andrew White, who is from the Miller School in VA. will be making his college announcement tonight on where he plans on going, I will go with VT. Don't ask me why, I feel the bald head of that douche Greenberg will land him.

I know we have been listing 2013 alternative point guard targets ever since Nate "Nate Britt Sucks Chants are lame" Britt picked UNC. I think there is a very viable one in our backyard and this would be a perfect Dalonte Hill Appetizer to get his party started, Will Ferguson from O'Connell.

Will Ferguson O’Connell (VA)

School List: Maryland, Florida, Kentucky, Pittsburgh, Villanova, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Xavier

Almost forgotten about, playing in the same conference as Nate Britt of Gonzaga and James Robinson of DeMatha is O’Connell’s Will Ferguson. Ferguson had a tremendous sophomore campaign for O’Connell, helping the Knights to a sweep of WCAC champions DeMatha. Ferguson has a host of big-time programs looking at him including the Terps, who hosted the junior guard for their Maryland Madness. While Harrison and Britt are the clear top targets, Maryland would be landing a bonafide floor leader in Will Ferguson were he to commit to the Terps.

This will be Ferguson’s team this season. The ultra quick point guard spent his freshman season learning from former teammate and current North Carolina starting point guard Kendal Marshall. Along with feature matchups with Nate Britt, O’Connell will also travel to South Carolina for the Upward Classic featuring some of the top teams from the Carolinas.

I know we mentioned him before, but I think this guy will turn out to be the real deal. The major point to him is that he is a pass first PG, who rather dish then shoot.
