Four games and four weeks from today, Alex Len's suspension will be over, and we'll be adding some much-needed depth to the Terps' basketball team.
At 7'1", we've been hopeful that he'll have a significant impact on the Maryland front court right from the start. But just how effective do you expect the true freshman from the Ukraine be for the last two-thirds of the season? What should we look for to determine if he'll have the impact we all hope he has?
Will the lack of a true (pass-first) point guard limit his offensive contributions, or will his size provide a more inviting target for passes into the low post? Considering James Padgett has performed well - especially on the offensive boards - and Ashton Pankey has been a pleasant surprise, will Len's contribution (at least initially) be limited to a minute-eating role?
