The Maryland WBB team ground out a 9 point win against a disciplined, well coached and previously unbeatren Michigan team tonight moving to 8-0 on the season and 5-0 overall in the ACC-Big 10 challenge. Tianna Hawkins was a beast on the boards again tonight scoring a double double with 10 point and 16 boards. She plays with real passion. Lauren Mincy keeps developing a nice all around game and Alyssa Thomas was unstoppable on offense. Kyle Tarp's conditioning program clearly paid off as the Terps wore down the Wolverines and were able to turn up the heat when the game was on the line. The crowd was a bit disappointing at a tad over 4,000 and just a handful of students. They deserve better. I wish I knew how to encourage more folks to come out and see some good, hard fought, physical basketball. It's a below the rim game but can be quite entertaining.
