Earlier today Coach Turgeon sent out an email to all students. At first I was, after reading the post about cheers and chants, thought he was going to ask us to be more respectful but it was almost the opposite. He LOVED the atmosphere and wants us to continually be loud all season. Here is the email:
Maryland Students-
I want to thank you for coming out to our game last night. The energy and noise you brought to Comcast Center provided a tremendous advantage for us.
While I was encouraged with our team's progress, I was disappointed we did not win. You have everyone in our program's commitment to continue to work hard and improve each and every day. One of the reasons I wanted to be your head coach, is the atmosphere I had seen at Comcast Center. We will have some exciting nights and great wins this year, and you will be a big part of that. I believe in you and your ability to make Comcast Center the toughest place to play in the ACC. Hang with us and we'll make you proud.
Thanks again and Go Terps!
