Gonna share an idea with you guys that I actually wrote to KA/Gary/Brenda about at the end of last season. By way of background, I’m a good friend of Dave Tucker’s dating back to his freshman year. Do the math if you like.

There are a couple of things we can lay claim to at Maryland.

1. Being obnoxious
2. Being really obnoxious
3. Jim Henson went here

So, we should channel all three of those and start a new tradition: THE COUNT. When the other team fouls us, the students will count how many team fouls that is.

All together now.

One! Two! Three! Four! Five! Six! Six fouls, ah ah ah!!

It’s obnoxious, but not in the realm of profanity. It’s topical, but not cheesy. And THE COUNT is ours. And as in The Wire, if you mess up the count, they F### YOU UP.
