ESPN has put together a nice piece on putting together the top players from each state including D.C. These teams include all classes, freshman through Senior. Each state has a first through fourth team and other notable players. As for Maryland the first team consists of:
FIRST TEAM:

F: Justin Anderson, Montrose Christian, 6-6/215, Senior Superior finisher above the rim; committed to Virginia.
F: Jerami Grant, DeMatha, 6-7/190, Senior Exceptional perimeter defender will play for Syracuse next winter.
F: Ishmail Wainright, Montrose Christian, 6-5/205, Junior Averaged a near double-double playing in Missouri last winter.
C: BeeJay Anya, DeMatha, 6-7/265, Junior Could do more damage this year after dropping 30 pounds in offseason.
It also goes on to list the rest of the teams and notable players. Here is the link for the state of Maryland.

Note: Sam Cassell Jr. is not listed on any team and not even mentioned as a notable player considered for the rankings. This may be a sign not to go after him, since even with his name he couldn't get any love.
