Hey everyone, this is my first fan post so please bear with me. I'm a sophomore here at UMD and a die-hard Terps fan. Last year I went to every soccer, football, and basketball game, and I expect this trend to continue. Yesterday, however, we got an e-mail from the athletic department concerning tickets for the football game vs. Notre Dame. We were informed that student tickets would be available for $60. I, for one, was appalled to find this out. I'm not sure who's to blame for this ridiculous price. Given that it is technically an away game, it'd seem likely that it was the Notre Dame athletic department that set the price for the tickets. Either way, I'm not sure how the Maryland athletic department can expect students to be able to afford to pay for these tickets and go to the game. Personally, I do not plan on buying a ticket for this game. Maybe if the team had beaten West Virginia and Temple, I'd be thinking differently, but I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking that it's ludicrous for anybody to expect us to pay $60 for a ticket to a game when we're used to not paying for our tickets.
