There has been a lot of news this week both good and bad, mostly bad.
Let's start with the good. The Terps Men's Soccer team is ranked #1 in the nation, that is awesome. Basketball season is almost here and we get to finally see what Turgeon has in store for us, hopefully he is nothing like Edsall and the circus that is known as our football team.
Well that's all for the good news, now let's get to the bad. Our football team is one lose away from having no better then a .500 record this year. After the week 1 thrill on ESPN vs. Miami, there has been nothing but suspentions, terrible football, play call doubt, personel changes, more personel changes, a ton of injuries and finally a coach that has to act like a dog and piss on every fire hydrant to make sure the players know who's boss. Okay the last one was a try for some humor.
Basketball recruiting has hit a dead spell since the Layman committment. Call me crazy, but isn't ironic that the last time everyone on hear was happy was Labor Day weekend. Football beat Miami and Layman commits. Anyway, MD let Henderson go and he commits to WVU, not a shocker there. McGary seems to have put the final nail in the coffin for any possibility that he will be a Terp per his blog on ESPN.com. Carter seems to have stepped back on his stance of taking an official to MD and is up in the air on whether his last official will be to MD or UK, which he is waiting on an offer from UK that will pretty much end the Carter/Terp dream. Now there is major whistle blowing going on between DC Assualt and some shady characters. Now you can cry about Gary and recruiting, but he was right and you would have to be extremely stupid to believe that this type of shit doesnt go on all over AAU. I just hope Dalonte Hill kept his nose clean, which is highly unlikely since he was pretty much the care taker for Beasley. Please Dalonte just don't lie, ask Bruce Pearl. Oh yeah and who knows what is going on with Len and his eligibility. Stop posting shit until its official. He's ineligible, he is, he's not. Stop it. Facts please.
So with all that being said, what does Terp fans have to forward too. Men's Soccer! Just kidding, the women's team is tearing up the recruiting circuit and no I am not going into detail. Field Hockey and Women's Soccer have a chance to make a deep run in the NCAA's. We will have Mr. Graham on campus next week, with a potential committment prior to his visit, which if this holds true the only logical explanation is he is committing to the Terps and then living it up on his visit. Fingers crossed, we need some good news. Oh yeah and Football is almost over and Edsall won't have any excuses next year on why Friedgen is the reason he isnt winning. Good day to all and now comes Charlottes recruiting post!
