In the next three weeks the football team will be playing its hardest games of the season:
#13 Georgia Tech (Oct 8) - The best offense in the ACC, and arguably the country, has shown they can blow up defenses on the ground and through the air. Not great timing considering where our defense is now, especially considering the injuries and inexperience. It's also our first away game.
#8 Clemson (Oct 15) - The conference's best team and the favorite to go to the Orange Bowl. They have just won three straight games against ranked opponents and their inexperience has been less and less of a factor as the season has gone on. It will be the Homecoming game.
#23 Florida St (Oct 22) - The pre-season favorite to win the Atlantic. They came up short against the #1 team in the country with their back up QB and lost to Clemson but otherwise have been blowing teams out. It will likely be the toughest stadium we will have to play in this season.
The outcome of this season will depend on how we do in these three games. It could leave a lot of our fans calling for a change somewhere in the staff or the depth chart (even more so than now). I think three blow out losses could derail a team that has a chance to finish out the season well.
Thoughts on how we do, and if we win any of these games?
Hope for upsets.
