Maryland Minute - 10.11.12 - Gonnella Shows Leadership for Terps Despite Injury
As I noted, Gonnella was taken back to the hospital for an apparent blood clot in his leg. Prior to that, Patrick Stevens did a great piece showing how the senior captain and former walk-on was continuing to show his leadership on the team despite his injury.

Boyd expects to be ready for Terps | The Post and Courier, Charleston SC - News, Sports, Entertainment
Clemson quarterback Tajh Boyd plans to play on Saturday.
2. Nick Novak: Out of the league at the beginning of the year, Novak was signed by the Chargers after Nate Kaeding tore up his knee on the opening kickoff of the season. Since then, Novak has been automatic; he hit all five of his field goals today in Denver, including a 51-yarder1 and added two extra points. Since San Diego added him to the roster, Novak has gone 11-of-11 on field goals, 9-of-9 on extra points, and put 14 of his 24 kickoffs into the end zone for touchbacks. That's just about perfect, something the Chargers special teams never could have imagined after their disastrous 2010 campaign.
I'm so glad to see Novak doing well. He was so money for Maryland and sometimes it takes a few years for a kicker to get a regular gig in the NFL. Glad he's making the most of his opportunity thus far.

I got a good feeling about this one. Would be nice to see Byrd packed for homecoming.

it better be if we want to win
Gonna need the homefield advantage in full force for this one. And maybe the team can rally around gonella’s injury, the same way the bruins did when horton went down with the concussion.
Im not sure if were going to win saturday but I expect a well played game, hopefully proving to everyone that the temple game was a fluke

hopefully more sold in the coming days
And on gameday considering its going to be perfect football weather. High of 70, no rain (for the first time this season?) attendance should be just as high if not higher than the Miami game

Get Well Soon Gonnella
What a stud, he’ll be missed on the field.
"I believe in my teammates 100 percent and I believe in my team 100 percent. I think that we’ve yet to play to our ability," Gonnella said. "I can’t wait and I’m excited to see the day we finally break out and show everyone who Maryland is and what we’re going to be. I think we’re going to reach some high points, and I can’t wait to see it happen. "

I'm sure he will be at the game...giving them a pre-game pep talk
Maybe do the coin toss
I Hope So
And I hope this current issue is resolved quickly. It’s great to see him staying committed to the squad. He’s going be a successful guy!
