Well guys this is my first fan post so bear with me. I am a Terp fan who grew up in VA but currently reside in Georgia. I just wanted to give everyone a glimmer of hope for the wideout position for the future.
On Friday GA had the HS game of the week between McEachearn and Hillgrove on TV. Being showcased from both schools were several high profiled recruits including UMD's Amba Etta-Tawo, a WR commit for the 2012 class and I gotta say he is one of heck of a receiver. He is a legitimate 6'3" & 180, & has great route running skills. He consistently got great separation from defenders and his best assets are without a doubt his hands. Every pass thrown his way was caught, whether it was in between traffic or along the side-lines. Heck, wished he was already in a Terp uniform based on what we all saw against GA Tech from our WRs on Saturday. He doesn't have blazing speed, but he is very deceptive in that department and showcased his ability to make a few guys miss.
Based on what I saw he appeared to be McEachern's #2 wideout due to being in double coverage most of the game, however he paced their receiving corps with nine catches for 137 yards and they only scored 10 points in a matchup between two of Georgia's top ten squads.
I know Edsall's class so far has been rightly criticized for being very spotty and filled with "unknow gems", but based on what I saw on Friday this kid is a sure steal. Looks like DOB or CJ (take your pick) are going to have a reliable possession receiver for the future.
