Let's do this Terps
and come out and make a statement that this is a brand new year! Chism INT TD to wrap the game up in the 4th quarter is my bold prediction for today’s game.
I feel like we are underrating Navy by a lot.
This is a team that returns 13 or 14 starters (the most in the last 4 years) from a team that went 10-4 and embarrassed a Mizzou team that went 8-5. I have no idea who will win this game.
Even though I expect a loss

But honestly, when Maryland was at its best early in the decade, this is how we played anyway.
GREAT start. Robinson looks like a threat, Scott is a star again. Most surprisingly, the offensive line has done well. Navy’s DLine is really small, though.

Make two stops and make them throw the ball, and we’ll be okay. The problem will be if they get too many of those 20 yarders.
Otherwise, we’ll be able to run over their undersized DL.

Meggett, Scott, and Robinson have combined for
13 carries, 134 yards, 2 TDs, 10.31 yards per carry. Wow.

In 2005
Merrills was the starter for the first game…but he only had 130 yards on 30 carries. Maryland has more than that in less than 15 minutes and fewer than 15 carries.

Actually does have a pretty strong arm. I’ve been very impressed in the times I’ve seen him play. I’ve also seen Navy too much in the past few years.

What an amazing way to finish this game, I really think that’s a great way to set the tone for this season.
YEAH, I CALLED IT....
That was insane, gotta admit….I did also say J’Rob would have 2 “instant classic” plays, but the closest things were 2 rushes of about 27yds. Impressive, but I was thinking more like a 60 yard td bomb, or a run like megget had. Overall pretty happy with the O-line based on experience..Defense worked really hard all day and never gave up, great red zone stands. Robinson immediately proved to be a running threat. Maryland hit a GOOD team in the mouth early and held them off for 3 quarters. (I think we can agree that if we had been behind 14-0 it might have gotTen into our teams head) Great way to overcome diversity!! GO TERPS!
