Maryland Minute - 09.02.10 - Could Maryland-Navy Have Been Bigger than Army-Navy?

Well, college football season is off and running. Great game last night between Utah and Pitt. Crazy ending to the game. Check out the highlights if you missed it. I think all of the other games were blowouts.

We're now three days away from Maryland's kickoff. I can't wait. To get you pumped for the game, check out this fantastic piece by Kevin Cowherd on the Maryland-Navy game, including speculation that the game could have ended up being bigger than Army-Navy had they continued playing it.

Great, great piece by Kevin Cowherd. If you want to know the full story about the Maryland-Navy rivalry, you should read this. And there is so much more to that gesture from a MD player that allegedly stopped the series from continuing. I wish the series had continued...apparently people feel it was a real good rivalry and was becoming better than the Army-Navy game. Can you imagine if we had a real rival? *sigh*.
