Hello fellow Maryland Terps fans. Im finally able to participate consistently again. Im stationed in Germany so i wont be able to see and hear everything that i would like, but im adjusting. Ive seen the MD-Navy game and the MD-WV game so far. But the next couple of games wont come on over here. I just wanted to express how i saw the Terps and see if everyone felt the same way. More after the jump...
Well, the Terps have been a two faced team so far this year. In the Navy game we ran the ball down Navy's throat in the first qtr with consistency, then meraculously we couldnt put together a drive to save our lives. The WV game was completely opposite. Now let me be fair, i had very little confidence that the Terps would leave Morgantown with a win, but i was hoping to see a more competetive game. They moved the ball on us far to easily, their plays were far from complicated. Due to their athletecism, we simply could not match up accross the field. Crossing patterns destoyed us and the lack of pass rush was comical.
The offense did not fair much better aside from two deep routes to Torrey. We couldnt run the ball, Jamarr Robinson looked like a JV QB going through his transgressions, and our line was atrocious. I haven't seen DOB play at all, but ive heard nothing but promising things. I wish the Fridge would just hand the keys to the freshman, but thats why im not a coach.
Our running game is good when the line plays well but i still dont understand why Franklin doesn't show an urgency to get Torrey Smith and Da'rel Scott the ball. Devin is a good RB, but Da'rel is a game breaker. Lets not forget that two years ago he was an All ACC selection. I guess what im trying to say is.... give the ball to #23!
Thats all ive got for now, the ol'lady has dinner on the table so im out of here. Hopefully i can get the game online tomorrow. Until next time, Hooah! and Fear The Turtle!
