Around SBN: Seahawks Trade for TE Kellen Winslow

"I would say it’s 50-50 [that I'll commit on Saturday]," said the 6-foot-5 Faust. "I’m really not sure if I’m going to make it or not."

He is scheduled to come in Saturday morning along with point guard commitment Sterling Gibbs and power forward target Johnny O’Byrant, who are both making their official visits.

Faust said he’s been talking "a lot lately" with Gibbs and O’Bryant, one of the nation’s top frontcourt prospects. O’Bryant "is interested a lot in Maryland," Faust said. "It’s just us making the decision whether we want to go there or not. Everyone who has offered us has a great fit."

Inside MD Sports

IMS just moved to a new home with the 24/7 Sports network, a new Rivals/Scout competitor. I couldn't think of a better way to kick it off than this free article.

Yep, it's official: if you haven't already, you can start getting optimistic about the 2011 class.

You Should Add One More Line From the Article

Upon reading at first, I thought it was 50-50 that he was visiting on saturday. Reading the article, its 50-50 that he’ll commit on saturday.
SWEET!!!!!!!!

Hell yeah!!!!!!

The stars seem to be lining up in our favor, Terp Nation. We will run the ACC with this crew. Gary is a giant-killer with sub-4-star talent. If he get’s some legit horses and a solid rotation, sky’s the limit. GW will be cutting down the nets a time or two before he rides off into the Hall of Fame sunset.

Also, why would Jabari NOT want to come and play with these guys???

I told you Faust is committing this weekend or shortly thereafter. I’d be absolutely shocked if it wasn’t within the next 2 weeks. I really hope O’Bryant feels at home, it is a good thing we have Sterling and Peshon working on him too.

Woww

Holy crap, how many times are you going to bring this up? What do you want a cookie? All you do is take info from premium sites and come here and act like the know it all. Just FYI but you shouldn’t regurgitate everything Terrapin Times says as gospel, they are wrong all the time. Cheeseburgers?!?!

by Terp80 on Sep 22, 2010 6:22 AM EDT up reply actions

I never said I had any inside information, I’m just trying to stop all of the people on the board from being the constant pessimists that they are. It really is easy to see why our fanbase is hated by everyone else.

by jhough813 on Sep 22, 2010 8:17 AM EDT up reply actions

The power of positive persuasion...

If you can conceive….and you believe…then you will achieve.

SHOCK THE WORLD, JOB, SHOCK THE WORLD!

The ACC won’t be able to handle a force like you….see the turtle, beeeeee the turtle.

by 1 proud terp on Sep 22, 2010 9:12 AM EDT up reply actions

Haha, thanks for the optimism, it’s refreshing to see on the board. But seriously Terp80, I really never tried to pass myself off as having any inside information, that is why when people asked how I got my information I never answered because I didn’t want everyone knowing it was premium. I was just getting sick of people freaking out over kids that we had barely been recruiting like Jacob Lawson and Bernard Sullivan committing elsewhere.

by jhough813 on Sep 22, 2010 9:43 AM EDT up reply actions

Yeah, I'm with you on the negativity.

Seems like some people are sports fans just so they can have something to bitch about.

Some see the glass as half full…others think the water in the glass tastes like piss

by 1 proud terp on Sep 22, 2010 11:03 AM EDT up reply actions

There is a problem there though

If everyone came to all the free sites giving away “premium” info those sites will lose their business which isn’t fair. I know this isn’t your intention but you should think about it. I know its frustrating to listen to people who don’t have all the info meltdown and freak out over stuff we know isn’t a big deal but that is there choice. If they want they can get premium.

Just my opinion…

Oh and while TTK will be right about a certain someone I would advise you not to hang on to his every word as believe it or not he doesn’t know everything. As you may recall when people first dropped Johnny O’Bryants name his response all day long was “not happening” “no chance” “nothing to see here” despite the fact that we were and are firmly in the mix. I along with many others used to and got sold an awful lot of crap from him. Just sayin,

I dont like the...

Im really not sure if Im going to make it comment. I hope he is just playing devils advocate or something.

Doesnt someone have a facebook account where they can send out an invite to a few thousand “current students?” To make everyone aware that both Faust and JOB will be there this weekend. We only get one shot at this. If we blow them away with support I think we get them both.

How about a big poster of both of their faces with Batman and Robin above and the Dynamic Duo below. If its cool enough for TO and Ochocinco then its gotta be ok for these two.

by Charlotte NC Terp on Sep 22, 2010 9:36 AM EDT reply actions

dont forget Gibbs though

dont want to leave him out

by bloodwatermission on Sep 22, 2010 10:27 AM EDT up reply actions

Exactly, Gibbs was the first to commit...

Dude needs his props. He also tore it up on the Int’national b-ball tourney scene this Summer and earned high praise. I’m excited to get him, too. A probable 4 year player, starting 3-of-4 of these years.

WELCOME TO COLLEGE PARK, STERLING, YOU’RE GONNA HAVE A BLAST, BEST YEARS OF YOUR LIFE, MY MAN!!!!

Well then how about Turtle Power

Turtle Power and big pictures of all three of them. Throw in a picture of Lewis as well and its a wrap. You have the 4 new Ninja Turtles.

If our class is Gibbs, Faust, JOB, and Lewis it is easily a top 10 class. If all of our current players continue to develop and improve I would think that adding these 4 players would have us at a top 25 team all year long. Possibly a top 15 team all year long. Thats all you can really ask. Get in the top 25 and qualify for a 4/5 seed in the March Maddness tourney. From there anything can happen.

Use the photo link above and photoshop their head-shots in from left to right (JOB on the left, Gary in the middle, Faust on the right and Sterling on the bottom as Donatello. Someone with Photoshop should get on this ASAP! Get it printed out on a school plotter OR print out large head-shots and draw/paint the rest on a HUGE banner! Turtle Power!

by TerpMasterX on Sep 22, 2010 12:57 PM EDT up reply actions

I love it

That picture is PERFECT. A current student needs to take charge and make this happen. Fear the Turtle.

by Charlotte NC Terp on Sep 22, 2010 1:32 PM EDT up reply actions

must at least include the three of them in anything you do

so that Gibbs can say, “see. join me here.”

by bloodwatermission on Sep 22, 2010 12:40 PM EDT up reply actions

fix that wording

makes O’Bryant seem more important than Faust and Gibbs

and makes Faust seem like “oh yeah, and he’s gonna be there too.” “Don’t forget about him.”

i dunno

dont like it

by bloodwatermission on Sep 22, 2010 2:58 PM EDT up reply actions

I agree....I hate the wording

Nick Faust … Oh he is very good to. Screw that. The kid is a stud. The thing should Read our #1 SG and C prospects are coming to MD this weekend along with our Stud PG committ. Lets make them all feel like celebs so that we can burn CP down after they win us another National Championship

by Charlotte NC Terp on Sep 22, 2010 3:35 PM EDT up reply actions

lets be real

no one cares about the FIU game

lets pack that place for the three recruits and have nothing but posters and chants for them
