I would take him today. Who cares if there are players ranked above him. Lets be honest here…. MD is the 3rd best College BB team in the ACC. Recruiting in NC,SC,VA,GA, and FL is a waste of time. How many players have we gotten from there and how many do we pursue? MD/DC, NJ, and NY are out bread and butter. For some reason we have had a little luck with TX and CA…. If this guy is making comments like “Im saving the best for last” well then make that scholarship offer able to be accepted today. A lot of time schools offer with a contingency that limits the player from accepting that day because they dont want 3 SFs to actually accept. Still think its gonna be Gibbs, Faust, and Lewis. I’d be thrilled if we added another top 100 player in Space.

My point about being the 3rd best ACC team and wasting time in NC, SC, GA, VA, and FL was that Duke and UNC dominate those states. Its their pipeline so worry about the states and players that dont grow up loving those 2 teams. Recruit the players that hate UNC and Duke.

Forget NC, GA… invade NJ the way Villanova has… Villanova has given up on recruiting Philadelphia and just raids St. Patrick’s, Benedicts, and Anthonys… DUKE and UNC raid NJ, we need to do so.
I was actually lookin at last years rosters and Duke had the most guys from NJ. Lance Thomas and Zubek were their 2 best from their but UNC didnt have anyone worth noting. We get Pankley this year and Duke gets Irving but NJ and UNC didnt get anyone.
Whats sad is that if we got every player from MD we would beat every team in the country hands down.

just a few every year, we would be in good shape, but kids like to get away! Thats just the way it is.
