Maryland Minute - 07.06.10 - Is Mt. Williams Set to Erupt?
Not too much going on in Terpland today. There are some good reads below though.
Rush The Court " Blog Archive " Soon-To-Be Household Names: 12 Breakout Players for 2010-11
Jordan Williams, F, Maryland- The departures of seniors Greivis Vasquez, Eric Hayes and Landon Milbourne means diaper dandy Jordan Williams is suddenly the focal point of a Terps offense that will look to relish an underdog role for 2010-11.
Nice piece on J-Dub. Props to aMo for the link and the awesome headline of "Mt. Williams set to erupt," which I used as today's title.
Maryland Last Year is Clemson's 8th Worst Loss of the Decade
Really? Were we that bad? I guess so, actually. -BB
My take - Ralph seems to have Clemson's number. We beat them a lot. I guess it makes up for Clemson having our number in basketball, like the year they beat us 3 times, including our early exit from the ACC tourney when it was in DC. Ugh. I hate Clemson.
Key stretch: Wake Forest - ACC Blog - ESPN
Heather Dinich thinks that the key stretch in Wake's schedule this year includes their trip up to College Park. She thinks it's a winnable game for the Decs since they'll be coming off a bye and MD is returning from a trip to BC. I think Wake is going to be terrible this year and if we lose this game at home to them, I think our season and Ralph's job are both in trouble.
Jimmy Patsos discusses rumors of leaving Loyola - baltimoresun.com
Rumors this spring that Loyola coach Jimmy Patsos was going to leave for an assistant's job at either Maryland or St. John's made some think he was losing his mind — or about to lose his job. -BG
My take - I'm glad Patsos is still at Loyola. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have the guy on staff at MD, but I'm glad he didn't take a step back in his career.
Recruiting Report: Terps lose LB commitment to Aggies - Baltimoresun.com's Matt Bracken
More on Ward jumping ship. Ugh.
