Three-star defensive end Dontez Tyler of Hertford County (Ahoskie, N.C.) has committed to Maryland for the Class of 2011.
Tyler (6-foot-3, 220-pounds) also held offers from Arkansas, East Carolina and Virginia.
The Terps now have 13 pledges.
