Sorry for the light posting load the past two days, news has been slow and I've been too tired to fully devote myself to analysis. Posting should return to normal schedule tomorrow.
Meanwhile, the Gary joke in the title is in jest, but it was kind of obvious.
Chris Wilcox Launches Charity Golf Tournament For Lupus
Good cause, but Chris never struck me as the "charity golf tournament" guy. Raymond Felton will be in attendance. I wonder if Gary will go. It's excellent timing either way: Nike Peach Jam, the largest AAU tournament of the summer, will be in Myrtle Beach this year.

Duke Picks Up Another Plumlee
Meh.
USA's U-17 team goes 8-0 overall, claims gold medal
Quin Cook and Justin Anderson were parts of the squad that won. Pretty impressive showing, though I'm not sure Poland is the second-best basketballing country in the world.
Former Terp Recruit #1 Chooses UNC....
This one is Marquise Williams, an NC QB that had some fringe interest in Maryland early on. Alone, this wouldn't be worth a mention, but...
Former Maryland Recruit #2 Picks UNC
Landon Turner also had some fringe Maryland interest. And he also chose UNC. The Tar Heels are loading up; they'll be one of the best teams in the ACC in about three years if Butch Davis is even average.
Which, incidentally, brings us to another point: how quickly does Maryland need to become competitive again? UVA's on the rise, Miami by all appearances is on their way back, FSU is envigorated, Clemson is here to stay, Georgia Tech is elite, and VT is VT. The ACC is quickly exiting the "below-average football conference" stigma, and Maryland could get left behind. Quickly.
