The skilled combination is a matchup nightmare at the small forward and power forward positions. He reminds some of former Maryland and NBA player Joe Smith. The ACC is all over this kid.

Torrey Smith was earlier, so this probably spells the end of Maryland players on the list. - BB

He was a first-team all-conference selection last year and is the leading returning career tackler in the ACC with 264. He’s a blue-collar, hard-hitting throwback player who should shine in his senior season and the second year in coordinator Don Brown’s defense. He became more than just a tackling machine in the previous season and showed he was capable of game-changing plays.

National Football Post puts him #7 on its list of Top 10 Coaches on the Hot Seat.   They also question the decision to make James Franklin coach-in-waiting.    

Virginia assistant meets with Maryland about lacrosse coaching vacancy
Interesting note from Terrapins Insider:

"It is unclear how much interest Van Arsdale has in the job."

Normally, you'd think an assistant coach would be chomping at the bit to be MD's next coach.  But Van Arsdale is like a second head coach at UVA and he's been there forever.  The list of candidates seems to get less impressive by the day.
