ACC Signs New TV Deal With ESPN
Word on the street is that ESPN has outbid Fox for the ACC's basketball and football rights. Raycom would continue to purchase the rights to various football and basketball games from ESPN. It's unclear whether CBS and Fox would also purchase the rights to additional basketball games.
The new deal gives the ACC 3x's what they had in their last deal, but is still well short of what the SEC got (shocking). What are your thoughts?

What does this mean?
Is it simply an extension of the current deal? Or fundamentally different?
i think this mean...
we are going to be seeing more games on espn360.com which is unfortunate, because i have the Fox Sports South channel and Sport South channel and that is where majority of the ACC are. And then Raycom wasn’t that bad either. If most of our games end up on espn360 or I guess this new ESPN3 thing then I will be upset.
espn360 is actually good
i watch a lot of european football and if it wasnt for espn 360 i would never been able to watch my team play.on the other hand i may have watched 6 terps game on tv because i didnt have cable. so instead of listening to the game on the radio i could’ve been watching the game on the computer.but i like the way Mr. Holliday calls a game but still rather watch
Hard to tell
The details of the deal haven’t been released. I have to imagine you’ll see less games on 360 (now called ESPN 3, btw), and more on actual TV. But to Valenciais1’s point, if it wasn’t for 360 last season, we wouldn’t have been able to see those games at all, so being broadcasted SOMEwhere is better then nothing.
Anything that reduces our exposure to Tim Brando
is a good thing. He will conjure up bad memories of the game last year.
