Wall over Vasquez for 1st Team All-American....seriously?

I can't believe that Wall beat out Vasquez at guard for 1st Team All-American!  Look at the numbers people!  19.6  PPG/ 4.6 RPG/ 6.3 APG for GV -- 16.8 PPG/ 4.0 RPG/ 6.2 APG for Wall....GV beats him in every major category.  Yeah...I know Wall has shown that he is a leader but certainly no more so than GV...plus GV is way more valuable to the Terps than Wall is to the Cats.  This is just another situation where the sexy, ultra-hyped guy wins out.

Oh well, it’s only yahoo’s site that he’s on the 2nd team. He made 1st on sporting news and espn according to Pat Forde and Dick Vitale. I think 2nd team is the lowest you’ll see him by any site.

GV also made Jeff Goodman’s 1st team.

Forget the numbers

Just do the eye test. Much love to GV but Wall is the best guard in the nation by a wide margin.

no

the all-america team is not the all future nba all stars team. vasquez had a better season than wall.

I didnt say anything about Wall's

NBA potential. Just watch a couple UK games and tell in what way GV is better than Wall.

Well he is a better jump shooter. He is a smarter player…less turnovers. He is just a better basketball player but wall is the better athlete.

wall is better

I disagree. Wall is the better basketball player. GV is great when under control, but terrible when he free lances.

Wall can take games over by himself and is still learning to run an offense.

GV is more experienced, but not better.

who cares

i hope we play kentucky in the tourny as our 1 seed (assuming we get the 4 or 5)—-they are a bunch of entitled prima dona’s—-no commitment to defense—-no coaching (cal sucks)—and no senior leadership

i’m hoping for them or kansas state as our number 1 b/c honestly i think it would be a toss up
