NFL Network May Be Part of the ACC TV Deal
Posting this for a few reasons, but mostly because this is a topic I've followed and featured for a long time.
This goes against the whole "package deal" of all football and basketball together for bargaining reasons, but it's certainly an interesting concept that would get the ACC a lot of football coverage. Just not major network football coverage, which is what we actually want. (hear that, Fox?)

Anything but 360
I don’t expect to see MD football on a major network until ND in ’11
But 360 is the only way
a lot of us can even SEE Maryland football.

re: 360
If it wasn’t for 360, you wouldn’t have seen those games at all. There is a pecking order – ESPN, ABC, ESPN 2, ESPN U, Raycom, ESPN 360. If none of the ESPN/ABC pick our game up, ESPN 360 can. So, as duck said, it’s better than nothing because it’s the only way you could see the gam.
Especially those of us in markets
where Raycom doesn’t have an affiliate

Well I can't get 360
but I CAN get any other game on any other network streaming feed on Justin.tv. That’s how I’ve seen all the Bball games this year. If they were on on 360 I wouldnt have seen a second of them.
Don't sleep on Comcast/NBC
Yow hinted about that in my interview with her. I really think if this NBC/Comcast merger goes through you’ll see a deal with the ACC and Comcast/NBC. You’d have “game of the week” type coverage on NBC and then regional coverage through Comcast’s regional networks, like Comcast Sports Net.
Hulu just made a deal with the NFL network
I wonder what the odds are that we could see a potential ESPN360 rival. I don’t have cable so that could be a great thing.
