Early arrival Burns impresses Friedgen - D1SCOURSE
He doesn't sound enthralled, but Burns has certainly been good enough to keep at QB. It'll be interesting to see his development, I think he got overlooked compared to Tyler Smith.
ESPN Previews NHSI: Oak Hill Academy
Quick note on the MVPe', even if they get his hometown wrong (he's not Juwan Staten, who is from Ohio):
A third-season regular, the 6-foot-2 combo guard from Ohio sported norms of 13.5 points and six assists in his final year. The University of Maryland recruit is the team's "best passer", according to Smith. He and Lamb are considered Oak Hill’s top defenders.
Duke's Overachievers are worth rooting for - Stewart Mandel - SI.com
Mandel tries to get you onto the Duke bandwagon. Sorry, Stewart, I'm staying away from cheering for Duke and saying your writing is good. - DT
My Take: Umm...no.
Maryland year in review: Tucker - D1SCOURSE
Patrick Stevens continues his breakdown of players from this year. Today is Cliff Tucker. I think he does a great job summing up Tucker:
"On page four of the first half play-by-play of Maryland's second round NCAA tournament game sits perhaps the most perfect summation of Cliff Tucker's three seasons with the Terrapins. Effectively, it reads like this: 1:12: STEAL by Cliff Tucker 1:10: GOOD! FT SHOT by Cliff Tucker 1:10: GOOD! FT SHOT by Cliff Tucker 1:04: FOUL by Cliff Tucker (P1T8)"
Yup, sounds about right. - DT
Season Recap: Jordan Williams - Terrapins Insider
Gotta love the big man's confidence:
"I expected to come in and make an impact right away. I told people that in the summertime."

Tracking the Terps: Grading Maryland's basketball season
A few random notes from Jeff Barker.
Q&A: Special teams and tight ends coach Charles Bankins - D1SCOURSE
Good interview from Patrick Stevens with Maryland's ST/TE coach. Devonte Campbell is leading the TE race, but not by much - and it sounds like Furstenburg is close to Watson.
Diamondback - Terps WBB had little to cheer about
Not a great year for the 2009-10 women's basketball team, almost UNC-esque. It was just more expected. They're young, though, and in two years this group will be back on top of the ACC.
