im so nervous
we needed a miracle to beat them at home, and this is roughly the same team we faced before. Thoughts?
I've forgotten what our whites look like.

I think white shocks and black shoes need to be outlawed, that’s hideous.
why aren't there more people in the stands.

2 types of shots we should be taking:
1 – pushing it on the fastbreak
2 – with bodies underneath to rebound
sugar sean mosley?
That’s clever if that’s what it means.

GT is terribly coached
No team with bigs that good take that many bad jumpers and throw away that many passes. If they could just hold onto the ball, they’d be fine.

Bilas said something like that, yes?

we are 4th best
3% in conference – not quite average
I spun around... and there I was, face-to-face with a six-year old kid. Well, I just threw my guns down and walked away. Little bastard shot me in the ass.

No worries boys
They won’t stay that hot from 3, and we won’t stay that cold. We are down by 2 and Gary could out coach them with his eyes closed.
Gary Williams for President!
Jordan Williams freshman Manbeast
The last half is why I'm not worried
if it comes down to coaching,. we win by 12.

Bad run
Time to see Padge go to work, I guess.
J-Dub was struggling, but I’d still much rather have him in the game right now.

At this pace from the stripe, they probably won’t score at all the rest of the game.

I mean, even if I was awful at making predictions, and I probably am, I’d have to get one right eventually, right?
That does it.
I’m putting on my lucky shorts, man.
Make a note, down by 11.
Will go on a run eventually, but we need to stay close in the meantime
And 11 isn’t that close. GT is cleaning the glass and beating us inside, but the difference right now is how we’re shooting vs. how they’re shooting. Nothing more.
how do you miss that??????

were currently on the front page of espn.
Ok, down 16 at the half
At the very least get back into it to secure a 6 seed, but 16 is far from safe. GT is shooting 75% from 3. MD is shooting 0%. You have to expect that to normalize at some point. Rebounds are probably a lost cause, but that’s not going to keep us from winning if GT can’t hit a shot for 9 minutes.

In one game as a freshman at Miami, Wieters hit a two-run homer in the top of the ninth to put the Yellow Jackets ahead, then pitched the bottom of the ninth for the save. On that day, the God nickname was bestowed. - Sports Illustrated

Can we get some competent refs in here before someone gets killed?

Letting GT get up by 19 wasn't all the refs

True that
But giving GT a phantom 2 points isn’t on MD.
This would be one of the first times I’ve actually blamed the refs.
how can we win this?

Selfish...
but i feel my whole weekend is ruined. Esp cause it’s going to rain and rain.
GRR. That sucked! Wanted to make GT eat their words!
I didn't want to post this before the game but
I was wondering if in the long run it may be good to get a loss before the Dance. Probably not, but sometimes (like the first half) we don’t look we are mentally into some of these games. Hopefully we come out hungrier next time.
Gary Williams for President!
Jordan Williams freshman Manbeast
I dont think this is a horrible loss.
Yes, we played like crap. Yes, we were rather lethargic. But we havent played in almost a week before this. And I’d much rather go into the NCAA tournament off a loss, than off a string of wins. Why you ask? Cause it makes us hungrier. Think about it this way; had we gone the whole way without a loss, we might have grown complacent in that the last time we loss was what? over a month before?
It sucks to lose, but I feel like it might be a blessing in disguise.
agreed
id rather go into the tourny with a chip off our shoulder rather than a feeling a sense of safety
Couldn't agree more
But this is another showing of how too much time off kills this team. Look what happened before the Duke game when the UVA game got cancelled, and look what happened here with the bye. Hopefully our success on short rest will help us in the dance.

I forgot how much losing sucks to a team you know you are better than.
You have to hate losing more than you love winning.
GW has decided that we're going to live or die with Greivis
It’s obvious that GT wasn’t going to let him get a 3 off the dribble. We need a copy of new wrinkles that can get him open off the ball for a 3 in late game situations.
