2011 Basketball Recruiting Target Michael Gbinije to Duke
Blast.
Gbinije was one of Maryland's big targets for 2011, especially after Trevor Cooney committed to Syracuse. Not only did Maryland not land him, but they'll have to go against him for a few years, too.
Guess that means Jabari Brown, Devin Langford, and Dai-Jon Parker are the major remaining wing targets, among some other local and non-local guys not in the database yet. Still early and still plenty of time to get involved with others, but this isn't exactly the start I was looking for.

Wings
When these guys are freshman, we will still have Mosley, Stoglin, Parker, Howard and Palsson on the perimeter. I think we pick up one or max two perimeter players in this class, including point guards. I say they focus on Cook and the best shooting wing, which is Jabari Brown??, and focus on bigs past that.
Now, if we pick up another big this year, my thought might change. But as of now, we are likely to have four ’ships in this class, and at least two have to be bigs.
I am just sick of getting outrebounded.
We'll know more about the "best shooting" and so forth later on the process
But for the moment, Brown is definitely a better shooter than Parker and Langford.

3 stars on Rivals, 4 on Scout, 91 on ESPN. ESPN says he has “elite player potential” but kind of “floated through” the specific tournament. Long, athletic, runs well.
I’ll look around and add him to the database. Which reminds me of a few others I need to get in there.
