We honestly don’t even talk about [C.J. Leslie's recruiting process]. He’s still wide open. There’re a lot looking at him, and some new schools starting to come around, and he will entertain and has entertained. He’s still wide open, and we’ve made a promise to each other that we wouldn’t deal with it until the season’s over.

Figured this deserved more than an MM mention considering the interest surrounding Leslie lately.

Well, earlier this week a scout from ESPN predicted Leslie to Maryland.
So basically, the news here is that there is no real news. It was nothing but a shot in the dark by the scout. That said, it appears now that Maryland has a good of a shot as anybody.
Yeah
That’s what I was getting at. Although the scout quote was better than nothing. Hopefully CJ listens to the right people and realizes he fits perfectly into the Maryland system and combined with our other recruits could create a serious contender right away in 2010-11
LOL
how sick is it gonna be when peshon dishes out his no lock passes to cj leslie next season. we will be highlight reel material every day. we’re gonna take over sports center!
Stogs and Parker
Don’t forget about Stogs and Parker. Parker is pretty sick himself and Stogs is creeping up to the all-time Arizona scoring leader
And where's the Pankey love?
I know you have to take all recruiting sites and ratings with a grain of salt, but just to remind everybody, ALL of our recruits are rated significantly higher than J-Dub. How does a starting line-up of JWill, Dino, Mose, Howard, and Stoglin sound to everybody? And Parker as a sixth man. All I know is we’ll be stacked at the 3 next year…Mosely, Tucker, AND Parker. Wow.
2 years from now…Quinn Cook, Pe’shon Howard, Sean Mosely, Ashton Pankey, Jordan Williams. NICE.
And thats ignoring the possibility of C.J.
Actually, JWill was a four star
Pankey and Stogs are threes right now. And counting in Quinn Cook seems like a stretch.
But I get your drift.
ESPN
Might have been referring to ESPN rankings- where last year Padge and JWill were both rated an 89, where this year’s class is all 91 and above on ESPN. Stogs currently still in the ESPNU100 at #98. It will be nice to be stacked at the 3 but weird to think that Parker will be the odd man out when he is actually our highest rated recruit as of now- not that that will decide anything
Yeah, I was thinking of ESPN.
To each his own.
Game
I think the fact that there are so many comments on this post of really no new maryland news about Leslie proves how much we all wish there was something to talk about about the game that should have been tonight…
Next year's starters?
I’m thinking Gary will go with experience. 1 – 5: Bowie, SSM, Tucker, Dino, JWill.
I think Pe'Shon
will start over Bowie. He is a much better passer than Bowie.

'Shon
He probably is better overall than Bowie and definitely will become way better. I agree with LeftCoast though that to start the year Gary will probably give Bowie a chance to start. Then by ACC it will be Howard and Stogs. and why does NO ONE ever mention Mychal Parker. he is our highest rated recruit look for him to make an instant impact too
Parker and Pe'Shon
I think that Parker and Pe’Shon get plenty of minutes and make a serious impact, but I don’t think they start. I can definitely see Parker bumping Tucker and maybe, maybe Pe’Shon bumps Bowie at some point. I just think Gary will trust a senior’s judgment over a frosh’s, even if Pe’Shon is more talented. I hope Stogs gets some run before ACC time. I definitely see AB and Tucker as stop-gaps until the kids are ready to play. Does anyone see Padge getting in the rotation even by next year? I mean, kckb8 has Pankey ahead of him in 2 years :o)

Padge looks
pretty raw right now, but also has barely got any minutes this year, especially in ACC play. He might not be ready yet but he has a lot of potential, needs to work on his FT shooting thought. We’ll see by the end of this 4 games in 8 days stretch we might see he gets some real PT and actually makes something of it. Gotta give some props to Dino though he’s slowly been getting better and showed up pretty big for him against UNC.
