Dave Telep reported Adeji Baru officially announced he was committing to the College of Charleston and Bobby Cremins.  Telep reported earlier that Baru's legal guardian's son, Pat Branin, already committed to C of C, making this anti-climactic.  This one still really hurts as Baru, while not publicly favoring any one school, had been reported by some scouting/recruiting sites to have high interest in Maryland.  This again shows the influence guardians can have over the foreign transplants 

This is a disappointing development for sure.  We'll definitely need James Padgett and the frosh bigs to keep improving for next year.  Not many bigs are left on the board for '11, so the Terps will need to buck up and gang tackle the 4 to give Jordan some more help.  The Terps cannot afford being outrebounded by wide margins - that'll be a killer in conference play.
