Maryland Minute 1.06.10 - Boom Headed to Austria

I miss this.

Sorry for the late posting tonight, guys.  Here's your daily roundup...

Boom Finds Another Home in Austria

I love Boom. - Ben B.

DeMatha/GC Highlights

Quinn Cook (#2) is unbelievably legit. Pe'Shon, get to work. Let's get him a Terp.

Oh, and Mikael Hopkins (#30) isn't as finished as he could be, but he's still super-athletic and very good. Why not get him too?

For what it's worth, Pe'Shon and Rob Ehsan were in attendance. - Ben B.

Terps Early Favorite For 2011 FB Prospect Kyle Harris

Don't think he's been graded by any of the major sites but he does have "interest" from some big time schools like Georgia, FSU, Florida. Good to see the staff getting out and offering kids early. Also glad to see them hitting Georgia hard.

Predicting the ACC - ACCSports.com

They've got the Terps at #6.

"This pick is based on senior leadership, because up to this point the Terrapins have not been that impressive. The three seniors, Greivis Vasquez, Eric Hayes, and Landon Milbourne, average 44 points between them. They have been through the ACC wars. Vasquez, an emotional player, imposes his will on his teammates to win games."

Will sixth in the ACC be good enough to put them in the tourney?

UMD FH Coach to be Inducted into NFHCA HoF - Official Site

5 National Championships and 8 ACC crowns? It's about time.

Devin Burns Season Recap

In college football, leader = good.

Carver was a young team this season, with just Burns, the Tigers’ right tackle and their center as senior starters. McGee counted on Burns to show his young teammates how to win. Burns’ leadership was "definitely big for the team," McGee said. "He’s the kind of guy you want in adverse situations because he’s not going to get rattled and he keeps his composure real well. That’s what you need in a leader. When things are going bad and things are heated, he doesn’t bend or break. He stays even-keeled with everything and he accepts coaching during those times."

- Ben B.

William & Mary Loses to N.C. Wilmington

The Tribe were bound to lose at some point and conference play is usually tougher than OOC games but this doesn't look good for Maryland and Wake, and won't help either of their RPIs.
