Maryland Minute 1.27.10 - Terps Lead for Brandon Coleman?
Terps Lead for Brandon Coleman?
Last I heard, Rutgers lead. Here's what Rivals' says:
"Coleman is down to Maryland and Rutgers with the Terps now pulling ahead. Rutgers losing its wide receivers coach and now its recruiting coordinator has swung this in Maryland's direction."
Clemson's Stitt should play Sunday vs. Maryland
Not good. Stitt's averaging about 11 a game. They really need him. - Ben B.
Sleeper Waking Up: Juvonte Reddic
Sounds good, NBE's really impressed with him. Didn't mention Maryland, though. - Ben B.
Earning Garbage Time " Terrapin Trail
Nice write up on the two walk-ons, Ersin Levent and David Pearman, who have seen an unexpected amount of playing time as the Terps have blown out their last three ACC opponents. Oh yeah, for those that inexplicably think Greivis is selfish:
"I just get really excited watching David Pearman and Ersin [Levent] get into the game," Vasquez said. "They work hard in practice. Fans don’t know how hard they work in practice. Basically, they run the other team’s offense."
Surrattsville High senior Richard Harris is quietly carrying on the basketball legacy of his uncle, the late Len Bias. Good piece about Bias' nephew. He ranked as a 40 on ESPN. Part of you does wonder though if he keeps working if he could end up like his uncle. Probably not, but we can dream. - Dave T.
ACC recruiting needs: Atlantic Division - ACC Blog - ESPN
Good breakdown of the ACC Atlantic's needs in football for the upcoming season. Dinich lists us as needing Secondary help and linebackers/ends. - Dave T.
Recruiting Report: Meet Darius Kilgo
Three stars from Rivals and Scout, two stars from ESPN.

just commented on coleman
beforehand in the williams quote, too lazy to make a whole deal, thank the lord for BBroman! Also this would be huge and he could really make a huge improvement to our class!!
Reddic
No reason they shouldn’t be locking this guy up right this second…1st place in the ACC would seem to be a decent enough sell.
Maryland 8th place in KenPom.
Just saying.
…
Elite Eight here we come.
Whoa there
Check out our remaining schedule. Slightly (understatement) more difficult than our last few games. Winnable, but difficult. Just saying.
Notice sarcasm when you see it, sir.
I was making fun of KenPom’s overly optimistic ranking of us.
Don’t be so quick there.
Yea we are about to see what our team is made of the next three weeks. We just need to split Clemson and FSU and beat unc
I’m fairly confident we can split or even sweep Clemson and FSU if we play as we have been. I’m a little concerned about UNC because if they are healthy and their guards play well, they are IMO the most talented team in the conference. Their frontcourt (esp. Davis and Thompson) will be hard to match up with. Overall, I would be very pleased if we came away with two wins in that next three.

if we win our next two,,,
we’ll start getting some serious national attention.
if we go 2/3 the next three i think we will be in pretty good shape. its amazing how we are raising expectations so suddenly for this club.

It would be a hell of a pull for Gary
in light of the loss of Ross. Also might help to set up a pipeline with Dematha; ie, if one top-25 player from DeMatha decides Maryland is good enough for him, more will follow in the future.
