Zwinak and Havenstein Visiting College Park in December
The standard thinking was that Maryland was out of it for Linganore FB Zach Zwinak, but according to Josh Barr, he and massive OL teammate Robby Havenstein will be in College Park sometime in December.

"Fearless Prediction" Not All That Fearless
How fearless is Fox Sports? So fearless that they predicted the MD-Cal game at the line. Yes, they have Cal winning by 22...the same margin Vegas believes they will win by. Those brave souls.

Tracking the Terps: A game-by-game look at Terps
A quick game-by-game look at Maryland's upcoming schedule from Jeff Barker over at the Sun. A nice primer if you haven't been paying attention to the schedule.

Star-divide

Fridge Might Be Taking This Leadership Thing a Bit Too Far...
Uh...

The four newly elected captains were asked to place their hands on Bibles and take oaths affirming their commitment to be leaders. "He [Friedgen] would say a couple lines and we would say, 'I do,' " said quarterback Chris Turner, elected a captain along with center Phil Costa, cornerback Nolan Carroll and linebacker Adrian Moten. "By the end we were laughing. But it was serious, too."

Whoa.

TJ Clemmings Probably Not Pitt Bound
Maryland might (read: should) get involved again, then.

He did say, however, that as of now Pittsburgh is not the future gridiron home of Clemmings Jr.

"I don’t think so," said Clemmings Sr. When asked if his son is Pitt-bound. "I have no confirmation on that. When we have an answer, you’ll know about it then."

Damontre Harris Update
Harris is still one of Maryland's bigger remaining targets - not as big as the Big 4, but a solid number five. Phil Kornblut has an update on his status.

Nolan Carroll is Punny
Ha:

"You take honor in trying to go against someone like that because it’s a real test," cornerback Nolan Carroll said. "You wanna see how you match up against the best. And you wanna see how well you can match up against Jahvid Best."

No Rest For...Well, Anyone
After the Cal game, the Terps will be chartering back home around 3:30. They probably can't stay an extra night and leave at a godly hour (damn budget cuts) but the kicker is that the assistants will be evaluating film on the fly back.

InsideMDSports Radio
IMS breaks down the upcoming Cal game in a 40 minute podcast. I don't think you can download it, which is problematic, but it's nice background material.
