Make or Break?

The Mighty Maryland Terrapins play host to the Blue Raiders of Middle Tennessee State University. Maryland is 1-1 and MTSU is 1-1. This game is incredibly important for the Terps. With a win here, Maryland heads into a home game against Rutgers with confidence and momentum, But... with a loss, Maryland could very well begin spiraling out of control....more after the jump

Star-divide

I like many of the faithful Maryland fans have a tough time believing that Maryland will run away with this one. They just haven't shown the consistency on offense, and on defense..... it really looks like they just lack talent and athletecism. Our Defensive Ends haven't gotten pressure all season. Sometimes they look to be standing in front of the OT's dancing because their feet are moving but they're not going anywhere. And it dosn't help that the Defensive Tackles are being pushed aside like school girls in the front of the line.

Enough negatives. The Maryland team needs to hear the criticism being thrown their way because they dont seem to be very enthused on saturdays. The whole country is laughing at our lack of athletecism, our lack of speed, our lack of quality Linemen, and most importantly our lack of HEART! This team cannot afford to over look their opponents. They cannot afford to take plays off (But apparently Jared Harrell is watching different game tapes lol Check his comments in the last paragraph). And they cannot afford to play any other way than playing to Win!

So, to those Maryland fans that are not understanding the importance of this game, i suggest you take a better look! The game on saturday, in my opinion, IS make or break! I just hope that the Fridge is telling our Terps the same thing.

Whether it's make or break depends on the outcome

A loss could very well break the year. But a win doesn’t make it, so no, it’s not season-defining in an of itself. But it is a must-win.

And yeah, definitely don’t underestimate MTSU. I’ve had some bad feelings about this one since Sunday – they’re basically just a better JMU.

Go Terps

A team without heart would have lost to JMU.

I think so to bbro,

i wouldnt mind if we put in all the young kids and started getting them prepared for next year because this year is a lost cause. This team has not played 1 qtr of solid football in 3 game. It’s incredible how slow the defense is, it also amazes me how many holes we have in our defense, i could go on and on…… We need athletes! Let Travis Hawkins play, Let Drakeford play, let Lansford Watson play, Kerry Boykins, the young D-linemen, etc etc, again i could go on and on. It’s like the Orioles, they’re not going to compete so lets see the future get some experience and find out who our real ball players are.

Agreed

will have a post on this tomorrow, if I can get to it. Hawkins, Porzel, Ross, Drakeford, Murray, Kerr, everbody – get em all out there. And experiment with the defense: move Moten down to DE on passing downs, bring Perez and Tate down to LB; just throw different looks out there.

Now that I thought about it in that one post, why don’t we have a Torrey Smith Wildcat formation? That makes so much sense.
