Pitt has received a verbal commitment from T.J. Clemmings, a 6-foot-6, 265-pound defensive end from Paterson (N.J.) Catholic.

Clemmings made an unofficial visit to Pitt this past weekend, and chose the Panthers over scholarship offers from Florida, Miami, Notre Dame, Penn State, Rutgers and Tennessee. Clemmings has played only one season of high school football, yet is ranked the nation's No. 24 defensive end prospect by Scout.com and No. 31 by Rivals.com.

Even though they didn't name Maryland, the Terps were supposed to be one his favorite schools. Clemmings was one of the few four stars on Maryland's board. Football recruiting is looking pretty terrible right now.

Very Bad Right Now!

It seems like all the “mediocre” football schools in the ACC are making improvements ( UNC, Duke, NC St., etc etc) but The Fridge is content with his Average freekin kids! I’m getting sick and tired of these “2-3 star” kids! I want a freekin Athlete! A Playmaker! Hell, maybe Two!

No He DIDN'T!!

on zagsblog it says that he didnt commit. a coach said he rushed his decision w/o his parents and didn’t commit. Clemmings said that Pitt and MD are his top 2, so dont be so pessimistic we still got a shot!!
