Around SBN: NFL Roundtable: Which Draft Pick Is Most Likely To Bust?

If there’s one player in this draft that I’m confident will wind up being a bust, it’s Darrius Heyward-Bey.
...
I never once remember hearing or seeing Darrius Heyward-Bey, and that’s part of my biggest concern with him. How is it possible for a guy who’s supposedly a top-10 pick in the NFL draft to be so easily taken out of games in college? For an 8-4 team, does 42 catches, 609 yards and 5 touchdowns impress you?

Larry Brown (is it that Larry Brown?) doesn't like DHB. At all.

Absolutely not, it’s rediculous but like i said congrats and i’m glad it was a Terp that fell into all that $.

But everyone is knocking him, he will be held to this for his etire career and that does not sit well with me. Most players that come in with insermountable pressure dont pan out. A la Kyle Boller?

Reach City for Al Davis

I actually like DHB’s game…i could see him as a plax with speed….

i’m just sad he had to go to Oakland….he will probably fade into obscurity there….

Crabtree is a wierdo anyways…

I like DHB, but...

He’s a good receiver with a lot of upside, and I like his game, but tiimbitz is right, at seven it was by far the biggest reach of he draft. He would have been a solid pick between 20-32 to a team with some veterans that could help him, but in Oakland his career will die before it starts. That place is a black hole for football talent.

And I know we’re all Terp fans, but DHB over Michael Crabtree? I cannot believe that at all. Actually, I do believe it, because Al Davis is legitimately insane.

LOL. I agree that it was a reach but it’s not his fault he was selected that high. He might prove a lot of people wrong but I don’t think if he’ll be able to do it in Oakland.

"I never once remember hearing or seeing xxxxx, and that’s part of my biggest concern with him."

Those are, I sh*t you not, my exact words when I saw the Bears draft Juaquin Iglesias. If you play for Oklahoma, and your QB wins the Heisman trophy, shouldn’t I have seen more of you?

/annoyed that the Bears still have no wide receivers; not sure how this relates to maryland but my negativity is always ripped at windy city gridiron, so i gotta vent somewhere/

did you watch a lot of OU ball

I think Iglesias had huge numbers this year…could be wrong cuz i was always trying to watch the maryland game when some stupid big 12 game was on the local channels here (MO)

I saw I think 5 OU games

He looked like a #3 wideout at best.

So he’ll fit right in.

Does DHB ever get to play with a legitimate NFL starting quarterback; discuss amongst yourselves.

He's slot guy. Similar to Mark Clayton.

But Mark made huge strides last year! And it’s all good bro, the Ravens didn’t pick any recievers up either!

eh...not in the forseeable future

I think Russell is a BUST

could be wrong though…has all the tools…maybe just needs the right coach…but i don’t like his approach….and i hate his accuracy and decision making…they do have a hell of a running game in Oakland though…and russell can throw it deep…so who knows
