Easter Roundup
Happy Easter, everyone:
- In recruiting news, the Boo Williams Invitational is well under way, and some Terp prospects have impressed. Will Barton had three outstanding games, putting up 19 against the Albany City Rocks, and two other 20+ point games earlier in the day. Barton is quickly moving up my list of guys I want to get. Tobias Harris is already at the top of that list, and he didn't hurt himself with a 19 point performance against Barton's Baltimore Elite. The Terps were listed by Harris and 2011 prospect Trevor Cooney.
- In bad lacrosse news, Maryland lost to Johns Hopkins, 10-9. It was a pretty entertaining game, following a formula - JHU scores, Maryland ties, JHU scores, Maryland ties, etc. The Terps just never made a run to close it out. Maybe now Cottle is done?
- In good lacrosse news, the Lady Terps clinched the ACC regular season title and top seed in the ACC tournament in a win over #4 North Carolina.
- Maryland football had their first real scrimmage yesterday, with some impressive performances by a current defensive back (Kenny Tate) and a defensive back turned QB, Anthony Green. I'll have more detailed notes from the stats later today.

Mens Lacrosse
I have been wartching a lot of the mens games this year, and I notice the same thing every game. They have every ability to stay with their opponent, as you said above, falling behind then tying it up. Their main problem is that they can’t take a lead, and when they do, they can;t hold it.
They have all the talent in the world, but they have been incapable of putting it all together. Couple that with the fact that they haven’t won the championship since the 70s, and the fact that Cottle hasn’t gotten them any closer, I think you may be right. It may be time for Cottle to go.
