*Wide receiver LaQuan Williams has been shelved for academic reasons. Fridge says he could "possibly" return, but not this semester.

Frankly, it could be much worse. LaQuan was injured most of last year anyway, and it's a position absolutely stacked with talent.

It's obviously bad to see LaQuan not on the team, but he could still end up playing next year. He was ruled academically ineligible for this semester (ie, spring practice). He's still perfectly eligible to play next year, as long as Ralph gives him the green light.
