Testudo Times' Week 12 Preliminary Blog Poll Ballot
Pretty similar to last week's, mostly because there were no make-or-break games this week. Here's what we got:

| Last week's ballot | ||
- The top ten - yes, ten - teams remain the exact same. No reason to change them. None played a great team, and I'm not going to flip a team for beating Random Crappy Football Team University by a few more points than another team beat Another Random Crappy Football Team University.
- The gap between 1-3 and 4 has closed. 1, 2, 3, and 4 are basically the same to me; I'll try to sort them out next week into some type of order. 5 and 6 aren't far behind.
- Feeling pretty good about ranking UNC last week.
- Bottom of the bracket got a little sketchy. Only had two spots for three teams, and Navy was the odd man out. Sorry, Ken Nuimatololo.
- Look at LSU. They're basically the better version of Oklahoma - you know they have talent, but they've lost most of their games against good teams. Just can't justify a high ranking.
- Anything else? Remember, this is your ballot too, and this is our first draft. Let us know if we made any mistakes.

you know nothing
nebraska should be ranked
Who do you put them in over?
BTW, AP didn’t have them in either.
Just not that impressed with their (your?) resume. They beat up on some crummy teams in the B12 North, a bad Oklahoma team, and lost to TAMU and ISU. They’ve played one game against a team that is currently ranked, and lost that game. Don’t see it.
ok
they lost to ttech btw. and they are two play from being 10-1 and in the top ten. missouri was ranked when they played them at missouri. nebraska has the BEST player in ALL of college football. The coaches obviously know more than the AP voters.
My bad, TT and not TAMU
Yes, Mizzou was ranked…before they lost to Baylor. Oklahoma was ranked until they imploded. Beating them doesn’t count as beating ranked teams.
Yes, they almost beat VT, but they didn’t. Maryland almost beat Duke, N.C. St., and FSU, but we’re still gonna fire Friedgen.
I’m not even sure who you’re talking about with the best player in college football thing. Helu maybe? No one on Nebraska even comes close to Tebow, Ingram, McCoy, or even a Toby Gerhart or Jahvid Best.
I’m not a Nebraska hater – I had them ranked earlier this year. I just don’t see the resume to do it, and I don’t see what changed from last week. A 14 point win over a 6-6 team? Not enough. If they beat Texas, they’ll be ranked, and pretty high. They’re in the high 20s right now.
do you really not know who the best player in college fb is?
ndamukong suh? never heard the name? Dt. Mel kipers number 1 overall pick?
but whatever. It should still count as beating a ranked team when u beat them even if they arnt ranked now. cuz after a lose teams confidence goes down so they start not playing as well. nebs beaten two ranked teams this year. and were u watch the vtech-Neb game? you know that game was a joke
btw
im very impressed you know who roy helu is haha
I'd have TCU, Texas, Alabama and Florida as 1 - 4 in that order
GT and Pittsburgh ahead of Ohio State.
I had Nebraska at 25, Navy at 24 and Mississippi and California out.
Still a good job though.
Is Jerry Angelo fired yet?
TCU #1? Pittsburgh ahead of Ohio State?
Still a good job though…i guess.
I can see that
What Cal did was very impressive to me b/c they did it without Best. Ole Miss has always been on my periphery.
That’s pretty reasonable except for Pitt being ahead of OSU, IMO. I see OSU as a team with the ability to be utterly dominant with a few fatal flaws, most prominent among them being focus. Pitt’s a good team, but OSU’s athletes would win out pretty easily if they came ready (they would against a top 10 team, I think). GT-OSU would be an awesome game, though.
