Lance Stephenson Goes 2-10 For 7 Points in Debut
It's early to judge, but I feel much better about this decision right now.

Haha
Way too early to judge. No reason to feel bad about the decision at all though. He’s a selfish player who wasn’t willing to play under Gary. Why be regretful?
UMD2012
i still regret not landing stephenson. he woulda been a one and done player which helops greatly with recruiting. look at john wall-went to UK because they had two one and done PGs before he was there. so dont say u wouldnt have taken him
I disagree Go Big Red
I completely agree with UMD2012 and Ben, I’m feeling good we didn’t land him. I have a feeling he’s a chemistry killer and his "one and done" would impact a lot of players on our team not getting a chance to develop this season. Remember, we’re losing Vaz, Hayes, and Landon, so we need these guys to get playing time this year. Lance would essentially be another senior for us, were he here, and I think we’ve got a good team this season so I don’t know that he does too much good for us. I think not landing Lance was the best thing to happen to this team. And I don’t think landing "one and dones" has any real impact on recruiting…
lance + vasquez + milbourne = ship
derrick rose sure did hurt his memphis team
melo sure did hurt texas
beasley dostroyed k-states program
melo sure did hurt texas
Melo would’ve hurt Cuse. Durant would’ve hurt Texas.
Anyway, I do see your point, and I’m quite as concerned about the chemistry issue, and I do think it provides a recruiting bonus – Wally Judge to KSt, basically everyone Cuse has gotten since Melo, most of Texas since Durant, etc. – but not when the player isn’t good. Lance has the talent, but there have always been doubts about his game. If those manifest himself, we wouldn’t have gotten squat in terms of team help nor recruiting help, with all the negative issues with chemistry.
You didn't read what I wrote
I said in this particular situation, with this team, it would do more harm then good. One and dones aren’t bad for a team, obviously. But this season, a one and done would be bad because you’d look at 2010 and be worse off in the future because you need time this season to develop a lot of the players for 2010.
