You know the drill, folks. If there's anything out of the ordinary, shoot me a comment.

Star-divide

  • 1-2-3 are interchangeable. Increasingly, so are 4-5-6.
  • 7-11 houses some very good teams. There might be some nice BCS matchups if everything plays out correctly.
  • WTF happened to Oregon State? Even I can't really explain their status, but I just have a feeling.
  • UNC? Yes, UNC. They've been lights out the past few weeks.
  • Also, Navy's back in it. I was born in Annapolis, so even though I'm born and bred a Maryland fan, I have a soft spot in my heart for Navy. Also, they're 8-3.

I'm really starting to think

that Alabama and Florida don’t belong there at the top. Seriously. They’re being propped up by LSU, who we just saw won by eight at home against Louisiana Tech, who is 3 – 7. They’re also being gifted with call after call after call week after week by the SEC officials in an attempt to corral some of that delicious BCS title game money. Another issue is Ohio State at 7, but they did lose to USC, who is not nearly as good as we thought when that game happened. Really the Big Ten itself is much, MUCH worse than we thought – it’s arguably worse than the ACC, which is stunning.

My top 5: Texas, TCU, Alabama, Cincinnati, Florida (last year is not this year)

Is Jerry Angelo fired yet?

I can see that, but don't really agree w/ it

Alabama has the VT win and LSU win, Texas has the OK ST win, and other than that, there haven’t been any impressive wins from the rest of the top 6. Florida has LSU, too, I suppose, and Boise State had Oregon forever and a day ago, but TCU’s biggest win was Utah, who’s barely top 25.
