GO TERPS

"We're only gonna score 17 points? Hah hah" - some clown.

Oi

Just woke up from a 4 hour nap…ran longer than I expected.

by Ben Broman on Nov 13, 2009 8:27 PM EST reply actions

FWIW

Both Tobias and Tyler have commented on the game.

by Ben Broman on Nov 13, 2009 8:29 PM EST reply actions

Outside shooting's been ugly

Really ugly. Definitely an area to improve on, especially for Hayes.

by Ben Broman on Nov 13, 2009 8:30 PM EST reply actions

Gotta like that from Hayes

He has to be aggressive, just like that.

by Ben Broman on Nov 13, 2009 8:32 PM EST reply actions

So for those of us following along on gametracker

How far behind are we? (19 – 13, 8:07 left @ 8:33 PM)

Is Jerry Angelo fired yet?

by ES46NE10 on Nov 13, 2009 8:33 PM EST reply actions

that sounds about right. i am listening here: http://www.wqmr.com/listen-live-popup.php

yep

Williams at the foul line

by nmprisons on Nov 13, 2009 8:37 PM EST up reply actions

I was asking how far behind gametracker was, not the Terps

Although I’m pretty sure we’re already down 14 – 0 to Virginia Tech.

Hayes

Is not a PG. Two straight turnovers.

by Ben Broman on Nov 13, 2009 8:41 PM EST reply actions

Nice steal

(I’m just assuming it was)

WONDERFUL fast break

Awesome look from Bowie and Vaz, nice finish from Padgett.

The bigs’ ability to run the floor is hugely important.

by Ben Broman on Nov 13, 2009 8:45 PM EST reply actions

Padgett has been quiet

Outside of that dunk. CSU is killing us on rebounding while he’s out there.

by Ben Broman on Nov 13, 2009 8:50 PM EST reply actions

Williams doesn't always look good

but he gets more than Padge.

And stop putting Hayes at PG.

by Ben Broman on Nov 13, 2009 8:53 PM EST reply actions

dino gregory

the gametracker im looking at says dino gregory got 5 minutes of playing time is this true or is he still out due to suspension?

by Juicy-J on Nov 13, 2009 8:55 PM EST reply actions

he is not suited up

by nmprisons on Nov 13, 2009 8:56 PM EST up reply actions

Could have been a lot worse, could have been better

We’re probably not going to shoot 0% from 3 on the season

First half thoughts

I missed almost half of it, but…

Williams looked great. I know we said we wouldn’t need 15 + 8, but he might just be able to provide it in games like these. Very active, very aggressive.

Padgett…not quite so much. He didn’t seem to be as active, not as good in the halfcourt.

Shooting was definitely a negative. Gary will be having them take a lot of shots between now and whenever the next game is. It’s been ugly.

Hayes has looked pretty bad at point guard. He might end up being a 3rd option there.

Defense has been come-and-go. We’ve had some trouble extending out on shooters, but the biggest problem has been below-average rebounding.

by Ben Broman on Nov 13, 2009 8:59 PM EST reply actions

Meh, disagree about Hayes

I think it was just some start of the season mental mistakes. Hayes was better starting the game.

Mosley looked amazing. And so did Williams.

Vasquez doesn’t look too good.

Milbourne looks good.

I’m glad Gary had Tucker and Jin Soo out there, but seeing them out there made me start to feel like are bench isn’t that deep…

by Dave Tucker on Nov 13, 2009 9:04 PM EST up reply actions

I’m not trusting gametracker, but did CSU really rebound 7 of their 12 own misses?

by ivan24 on Nov 13, 2009 9:02 PM EST reply actions

Haven't been counting

But it wouldn’t surprise me, they’ve been heavily outrebounding us.

by Ben Broman on Nov 13, 2009 9:09 PM EST up reply actions

single-handedly keeping the art of the mid-range jumper alive

by ivan24 on Nov 13, 2009 9:13 PM EST up reply actions

BANG

About time. Nice 3 from Hayes, we’ll need those.

by Ben Broman on Nov 13, 2009 9:12 PM EST reply actions

This is closer to the shooting %

that we were expecting

Is Jerry Angelo fired yet?

by ES46NE10 on Nov 13, 2009 9:16 PM EST reply actions

Press hasn't been too effective

CSU’s seemed to do a decent job of breaking it. Then again, they have been turning it over a lot.

by Ben Broman on Nov 13, 2009 9:16 PM EST reply actions

Williams was THAT close to a monster dunk

Ball got punched out just before he went up by someone 6-6. Gotta work on that.

Still, good positioning.

by Ben Broman on Nov 13, 2009 9:20 PM EST reply actions

Not in Jordan Williams' house

Definitely getting tired, but he’s still a force.

Also, when Hayes gets hot, he’s very good.

by Ben Broman on Nov 13, 2009 9:24 PM EST reply actions

Mosley is an alley-oop machine

And Greivis Vasquez is an amazing passer.

by Ben Broman on Nov 13, 2009 9:26 PM EST reply actions

Double digit wins

Maybe 15-ish. Bottom half of the Big South.

by Ben Broman on Nov 13, 2009 9:30 PM EST up reply actions

I see Rivals' countdown has them at #310 of 347

So I guess this isn’t enough of a blowout

Second chance poiints

Really nice offensive rebounds, and Bowie with the finish.

by Ben Broman on Nov 13, 2009 9:33 PM EST reply actions

Choi hurt

We really don’t need to lose another body.

by Ben Broman on Nov 13, 2009 9:35 PM EST reply actions

Cliff Tucker sighting!

UNC-esque CT would be a very good thing this year.

by Ben Broman on Nov 13, 2009 9:36 PM EST reply actions

Padgett's gotta finish that

Not a great first game for him so far.

by Ben Broman on Nov 13, 2009 9:39 PM EST reply actions

THAT is how you finish

Ridiculous dunk. I’ll take those for a few more years.

by Ben Broman on Nov 13, 2009 9:40 PM EST reply actions

Pearman scored

Now we just need Ersin to get a bucket.

by Ben Broman on Nov 13, 2009 9:59 PM EST reply actions

Nah

He’s scored before. Still, always feels good to see a walkon get points.

by Ben Broman on Nov 13, 2009 10:11 PM EST up reply actions

Huzzah for victory

Ralph Friedgen is confused as to how the number under Maryland is larger than that of the other team

Is Jerry Angelo fired yet?

by ES46NE10 on Nov 13, 2009 10:03 PM EST reply actions

I called it

Maryland by more than 25! Piece of cake lol.
Also, Hayes should not be PG. What is Gary thinking? Put Vaz on PG, the man got 13 assists today! Hayes has some ugly passes. MD needs to work on perimeter shooting cuz first half was a disaster.

by Bboydragon25 on Nov 14, 2009 12:25 AM EST reply actions

did bowie run the point at all? didn’t catch that from the radio
