I would prefer an endorsement from her saying we know where are with our program, where we want to be, how Ralph is going to get us there, and this is what the Athletic Department is doing in direct support of that effort …and so on. The Andy MacPhail endorsement of Dave Trembley is a good model. Standing on the sidelines is very good for this team as it struggles but it is not an endorsement.

Broman, on another topic, you made a good point about the lack of emotion from this team. Playing with emotion is the culture change Don Brown is trying to bring about with the defense. I wouldn’t mind seeing the Maryland defense start the game with an aggressiveness penalty. Even an offsides on the first snap would be good. They looked flat the entire first quarter.
