Halftime Impressions
Offense: Yuck. Defense: Meh.
The team definitely had some nerves at the start. Very, very nervous. Maybe there should’ve been another preseason game. The Terps are still up 33-17, and most of those points were scored in the final 8 minutes or so, so I expect quite a few more points scored in the second. Bucknell was kept to just 7 FGs, so there’s a bright spot, but many of the misses were their fault. Just about every player, including JSK and Cliff, got better as time went on. Hayes looks like a calmer Vaz, which is what most people wanted him to be from the start.
The Terps might not have the players that they have had in the past, but you cant beat quality guard play. Vazquez and Hayes will shine!
