Toliver Pre-season Player of the Year – Terps picked to finish 2nd in ACC

Sr. guard Kristi Toliver was named the pre-season Player of the Year in the ACC and the Women’s basketball team was picked to finish 2^nd in the ACC behind UNC. Duke was picked to finish in 3^rd.

On the All-ACC team, Toliver is joined by fellow Terp Sr. guard/forward Marissa Coleman, Virginia's Monica Wright, Duke's Chante Black, and North Carolina's Rashanda McCants.

Highly touted Terps freshman Lynetta Kizer was named the pre-season Freshman/Rookie of the year.

A very good showing for the Terps, who can expect to again be a Top 10 power Nationally, dominant in the ACC, and contending for another National Championship.
